How often should I polish my car?Polishing keeps the paint in good condition, removes fine scratches, water spots, and other imperfections. Most importantly, polishing is the key to optimum gloss and clarity. How often you polish depends on how much exposure, washing, waxing, and driving your car goes through.
-
Does polishing remove paint?Polishing removes a fine layer of the clear coat, not the paint. This eliminates minor scratches, oxidation, and swirl marks, and other imperfections that hinder your car from looking its best. Paint preservation should be the guiding principle when it comes how much clear coat we can remove in order to achieve that desired finish.
-
What are layers in car polishing?Car polishing or paint correction comprises several steps (or "layers") to meticulously restore the paint to its original splendor. Each step of this process is crucial in reviving the car's exterior appearance, correcting any defects or imperfections found in the paint, and ultimately ensuring a gleaming finish. We prefer to use the term "step" instead of layer.
-
Do high-quality compounds and polishes matter for car polishing?Yes, they significantly impact the results. High-quality compounds remove imperfections like scratches and swirl marks more efficiently without overtly damaging the paint. While superior finishing polishes enhance gloss, clarity, and distinctness of image (DOI). In short, using premium materials ensures better overall finishes. At Magshine Detailworks, we use only top-tier abrasives from 3D Products, Detailing Kingdom, Osren and Carpro.
-
How long does it take to polish a car at Magshine Detailworks? The time to polish a car at Magshine Detailworks varies depending on the vehicle's size, condition, and chosen services.
